Hi,

Love your site!

Thanks,

Britton Thomas
Capibara
ReverbNation.com/Capibara
404.326.2398

Capibara has played venues in Atlanta such as: Masquerade, The Earl, Drunken Unicorn, Wonder Root, etc. Capibara has also been featured on Rock 100.5's Local Licks show ( http://atlantasrockstation.com/Shows/LocalLicks/LocalLicksArchiveAugust2009/tabid/650/Default.aspx ) and has been promoting their latest full-length album "Wildcat" all over the Atlanta area.

BIO
Taking its name from the world's largest rodent that inhabits the jungles of South America, Capibara formed in the summer on 2007. Joshua Lamar (formerly of Mondo Generator, currently of Can Can) and Britton Thomas met in high school and after going years without any contact, and being in bands that never amounted to much, they were brought together by happenstance and decided to embark on a project all their own. Their sound is a proportionally epic, rhythm-based, danceable dark-rock with influences that range anywhere from Bloc Party to The Strokes to MGMT to traces of Don Henley.
Their first full-length album was recorded over the fall/winter of 2008/2009 and is a 12 song free-for-all that is bound to live up to its title: Wildcat.

PRESS
"Capibara's latest endeavor titled Wildcat, is a 12 song streamlined magnum opus that kicks off with a ferocity not unexpected but unquestionably genuine"
-Adam Keen, BeAtlanta.com/Reviews

3:15pm Capibara: Never heard of this band before, but they have cool influences, and the two songs on their myspace feel like they may have some potential to rock out hard."

"Describing themselves as Rock Rock Rock and music for the abject individualist on their myspace page, Capibara pulls from a variety of musical design that swirls fast paced post punk shreds with melodious, insightful lyrics with funky bass lines with a rock steady backbone."

Hi indieATL. My band Yo Soybean (originally from Tallahassee, FL) recently moved to Athens & have a new album out. We would love to be considered for your indieATL show at the Digital Arts Entertainment Lab down in Atlanta. We've begun calling our sound "Party Folk." Take a listen to "Avocado Slice" and see if you think that fits.

In addition to MySpace, we're on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/yosoybean), Twitter (@yosoybean), YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/user/YoSoybeanMusic) and ReverbNation (http://www.reverbnation.com/YoSoybean).
